Marco Polo's current storage guidance says Polos remain available in free accounts for 12 months before moving through its removal process. Paid Plus or Unlimited Storage access can retain eligible Polos longer while the subscription remains active. Save important videos before deadlines; content already permanently deleted from servers cannot necessarily be restored by subscribing later.
Can I delete a video sent through Marco Polo?
You can press and hold a Polo you recorded and choose Delete; Marco Polo says this removes the eligible sent Polo from participants' accounts and its servers. Removing a Polo received from someone else only removes it from your own view. Copies saved or shared outside the app can remain, so deletion cannot recall files another person already exported.
Is Marco Polo safe and private?
Marco Polo provides private contact-based conversations, reporting, and controls that can restrict downloading or forwarding, but no messaging service can guarantee recipient behavior. Confirm invitations, review contact access, use device security, and avoid sending passwords, financial data, documents, or intimate video. Report abuse and use the Privacy Center for broader content or data requests.
How do I cancel Marco Polo and delete my account?
Cancel Marco Polo Plus or another paid plan through Settings, Plus Subscription, Manage Subscription, or the Apple or Google store that billed it. Then use Marco Polo's verified deletion flow if the account should be removed. Account deletion is irreversible, does not automatically cancel store billing, and may not erase previously sent Polos or Sharecasts unless those are deleted or included in a separate privacy request.
