Yubo (formerly known as Yellow) is a social discovery app built almost entirely for teenagers and young adults. Instead of focusing on follower counts or 'Likes' like Instagram, Yubo is designed to help you socialize in real-time and make new friends globally.

Swiping and Live Streaming

The app combines swipe-based discovery with live social rooms. First, you can 'swipe' left or right on profiles to find friends with similar interests, similar to Tinder. Second, it features a heavy emphasis on Live Streaming. Users can host or join video chat rooms with up to 10 people on camera at once, while an unlimited number of viewers can type in the chat.

Safety and Age Segregation

Because its user base is predominantly young, Yubo has implemented some of the strictest safety measures in the industry. The app uses facial recognition to estimate a user's age and requires ID verification if the AI detects a discrepancy. Furthermore, users are strictly segregated by age (e.g., 13-17 year olds cannot interact with adults over 18).

Yubo Premium

Yubo uses a freemium model. Buying 'YuBucks' or subscribing to a premium 'Power Pack' allows users to boost their live streams, see who swiped right on them, and send special gifts.
